The TabHop team saw an opportunity for an app that connected people with local bars and pubs via an interactive map and the promise of free drinks as an app subscriber. Partnering with them on technology and brand, our mission was to create a seamless map and list view of local bars with the ability to redeem a free drink once a day via their membership.
As a start-up, TabHop needed a logo and brand identity. Being a consumer-focused subscription app, the lines between brand and product blurred to the point that one could not exist without the other. We wanted the brand and product to feel simple and approachable. From the tagline “where members drink free” to the striking bright red color we chose for the app, we wanted the user to feel clear on the purpose and in control of their app experience.
Having a quick, responsive search experience via the map feature stood out as the number one priority while we were building TabHop. Using React as a framework allowed us to keep things cohesive and simple in order to get the best performance from the app.
